
Minor in Data Science
The Minor in Data Science is designed to provide students the foundations to engage in this information age where data and data-informed problem solving is rampant across every discipline. The program will prepare students to curate, manage, and analyze massive data, successfully communicate findings to relevant scientific and policy stakeholders, and understand issues in data ethics confronted in data science arenas.

Other requirements
Counting towards the major.
Courses in the minor may not be counted toward the major, but may be used to satisfy
preparation for the major and general education requirements, if applicable.
Statistics minor.
Students may not receive both the Statistics Minor and the Data Science Minor.
Location.
A minimum of six upper division units must be completed at San Diego State University.
