Parking Directions:
From 8 East or West take College Avenue exit, and head south, towards SDSU main campus.
If you have an F/S parking permit:
You may park in Parking Structure 1 (PK1) at the intersection of College Avenue and
Alvarado Road in any F/S space on all levels. Please view online campus map. Follow walking directions below to reach the department office.
If you need to pick up an F/S parking permit:
Drive to the campus Parking Information kiosk at the Chemical Sciences Laboratory
(CSL) building located at College Avenue and Canyon Crest Drive. If an F/S parking
permit has been requested for you, drive south on College Avenue once exiting the
8 freeway. Remain in the right lane on College Avenue. Go past the first intersection
which is Canyon Crest . Take an immediate right into the Parking Kiosk driveway to
retrieve the permit. If driving north on College Avenue, make a left U-turn at the
traffic light at Alvarado Road. Take an immediate right into the Parking Kiosk driveway
to retrieve the permit. Pick up the permit, drive to PK1, and park in any F/S space
on all levels. Permits may be purchased at the kiosk. Follow walking directions below
to reach the department office. Refer to campus map as needed.
Walking to GMCS building from PK 1:
Use crosswalk at the intersection of College Avenue and Alvarado Road. Walk into
the Chemical Sciences Laboratory building. Take elevator on the 1st floor to the 5th floor. Walk across the foot bridge into the GMCS building. Turn right, walk until
reaching the center of the building. Take the stairway or elevator to the 4th floor. Reception office left, GMCS 413.
Walking from SDSU trolley station:
Exit trolley station, and proceed up stairs directly in front. Follow pathway along
Aztec Student Union on the right. Turn right at walkway and left toward campus bookstore.
Turn right at the clock tower. Proceed through Student Services building. At the
end of the building, turn left and walk past the Education, Business Administration
(EBA) building. Next building on the right is GMCS. Refer to campus map as needed.
